What pistons
What kind of pistons would yield the best results for my NA daily driver D16Y8 with a stg 2 Crower?

RE: What pistons
You looking for driveability or all out power?
Do you have OBD1 engine management like crome or uberdata, or a piggyback like AFC? You'll need something to tune with if you are upping the compression.

RE: What pistons
SRP makes good pistons, I think they have one in the 10.5:1 range for the D16.
If you're going OEM, I would say the P2E pistons would have slightly higher compression than the P2P, with the Y8 head. Keep in mind when using other piston sets that the valve recesses are not the same.

....Million!!!!
Great little pistons for a good deal for a smoking single cam n/a street car. These aftermarket pistons are not only much much stronger than stockers, they are made specifically to get you the specified compression w/o interfering with your valve clearances or anything like that. If you're lookin' the stay n/a and want a good bump in compression w/o loosing good street ability, this is a good compression ratio to be at. I wouldn't go too much higher than this and anything lower is probably not going to do too much......try to say over 10.5:1 for sure if you plan on n/a. Keep in mind that your desire to bump up the compression will force you to run better gas now.....premium here we come......and tune it. With your cams and your tuning, you could see a really nice little bump in performance with something like this.

Yeah, I know. I just joined the site yesterday so I was reading through everything to see what the level of knowledge is at. My thing is a thread isn't dead unless it's locked. People do searches looking for info and I might as well chime in with my opinion as well. May save someone from asking the question later.
