hardwire cigarette adaptor
#1
hello, i just picked up a dash cam and would like to have it permanently wire to still use the adapter for say a gps. would it be just as easy as getting a separate cigarette lighter and wiring it behind the panel. or would there be more involved?(fuses/relays)

thank you

I'm interested in doing something similar, maybe routing a second outlet behind the armrest for the rear seats or inside the armrest.

I've seen a lot of people tap power for their dash cams with piggy-back fuse holders. Seems to be a pretty easy install.

Wow that was super easy. You could easily hook up an old phone and hide it in your dash.DIY Lo Jack
