Damn right! There's no other forum like this one. I've learned almost everything I know today (in the automotive world Toungue) because of this site and the good people on it. I have faith in this site getting busy again. Keep in mind that these things don't happen overnight and just be patient.

I have been there I had two civics but sold them and got out of the scene for a long while but the itch has come back and am now working on my latest project my 97 hatch. As far as expanding the site I am all for it but I would not make it anything other then a Honda/Acura site as it will produce a lot of animosity as like the domestic vs import thing. Maybe just make it a Civic/Integra site for now and see how that works and go from there. Just my 2 cents.

I say we push for vendors, and more of a for sale place to go to. People looking for and selling parts will bring in traffic to get people to join. I wont lie I recently joined a few facebook groups that sell parts......but thats just to find parts locally. Hell sites like honda-tech seem to be a wide veriety of cars integras and what not.....but full of a bunch of know it all douche bags.

In the end I would like to see this community grow into a place that is not exclusive to Honda's or the EJ8 chassis. The past couple of years, well, have been awfully slow and that is putting it mildly. I know a lot of members have moved on to other endeavors and have "out-grown the scene". Me personally, my coupe has been the same for years now and I don't see it changing anytime soon. Some of those that have moved on end up coming back. Why is that? The word "family" is always consistent as a reason why users come back and that IS our strength.

When I mentioned about branching out this community that is not exclusive to Honda's and or the EJ8, I'm speaking of opening it up to all areas that affect our daily lives. Life can be hard and it's nice to have a safe place to ask questions, vent, or offer support for others.

As far as allowing vendors and advertising, well, vendors want traffic which is something the site lacks.
I don't ever see myself shutting down the site as it is a part of me. Sure the hosting comes out-of-pocket but oh well.

I just wanted to finally put my thoughts as to the direction I would like to go into a post. Thank for reading and keep the ideas coming.

What would you like to see become of this forum? Keep it more of a "tuner scene" with Honda, Acura, Toyota and Nissan vehicles? I'm honestly not sure about what all is going on in the scene anymore. It seems like all of the "internet famous" Hondas are gone now and people have moved on to more expensive vehicles.

What about creating a forum that keeps the EJ8SQUAD family vibe, but is open to a very wide variety of vehicles? Think of it as a new automotiveforums.com

Soooo I just came back here to check the for sale section and I noticed this thread. I didn't read all the comments but just the original post and I definitively would not rid the facebook/ig pages. If anything Id post more on them daily and just always refer to the forum. Another page im on dirtyevo.com has VERY little action but theyre facebook page is nonstop and it helps bring people to the forum when they need advice or are looking for others builds and such.
I am never on here anymore, not like i was on much to begin with, but due to I am trying to get away from Hondas. But just my 2 cents from other forums that dont have much traffic and what they do that I enjoy seeing.
Also, facebook has a TON of pages related to civics, and even more so 6th gens, maybe try advertising or posting on those from the ej8squad fb page would help draw attention.

i also didn't read all of this but i think something will eventually come up that will be the saving grace of this forum. something new will come along shortly that will probably reinvent everything we know about forums and social media. continue to utilize all venues i think there is an app on the horizin that will take forums/facebook/instagram/twitter and make the best of all of them.
