Lil known fact, but the wheelbase is the exact same on coupe as it is on the 4 door. So I don't see why it would be an issue. Also like Mike pointed about, the chassis' are even stiffer then a coupes.

Well im not as worried about it now, sounds like everyone is saying go for it! Id rather rock my subaru but I doubt my girlfriend will let me since its the family car, and its an auto.

Just gotta figure out where one is around here, but it looks really fun.

Old thread, but seems this section doesn't get much traffic anyway.

There are lots of sedans tearing it up in H1 and H2. I believe last year, the second place was a sedan? Don't worry man, there are a TON of crap cars that go out to autox. Last time I was out, there was a totally stock, rusted out 84 Rabbit (not GTI), Grand Marquis, and a van. But everyone is cool---no trash talking. We all just had a good time.

This thread is old but Auto-xing is for beginners. I started to Auto-X in my Sentra SE-R Spec V and that was a sedan. I think you will find that especially at Auto-x people are friendly. The only thing is that Auto-x got boring really fast standing around watching cones. A real track is more fun though the speeds are quite higher. But as mike said alot of people go in there with crappy cars it's just for the fun. There are alot of haters out there. anytime you do anything do something because you love it.

If you think autox is only for beginners, you are sadly mistaken. Also, it can be just as fun as a full on HPDE event. Autox is where you can home your skills to be great around the track.

Let me re word what I said. Auto X is a good place for beginners. Not a place only for beginners. There are guys in Auto-x that could easily cut seconds off of my times at the track. What I guess I meant to say is that if you want to learn how to drive your car properly then an auto-x is the best place to learn. But after a while watching cones is very boring. That's why I upgraded to the track.

I used to auto-x my 97 accord 4 door, and it was auto and it was pretty much stock. It seemed to handle great, and was fun to drive.

Not everyone can go to a track, here in St.Louis Gateway Raceway only has a drag for people to go on. No road course. They are also probably going to be closing Gateway Raceway entirely. Pretty gay.
