One thing that constantly bugs me in the civilian world is how touchy-feeling, sensitive, and PC everyone is. No, I don't give a fack about your feelings - do your job. No, I don't care that you think you can be noisy in your apartment above me because you have kids - the noise policies for the apartment don't have amendments for people that have kids.

I hate feeling like I have to be nice to people. I just fake it.

Exactly. Going to combat changes you.. psychologically, spiritually, whatever. Civilians are naive and soft.

What bugged me the most was the lack of discipline and order...

example:
I was in DIA (denver international airport) and just standing back waiting to get on my flight watching a gagglef**k of people try and bumrush onto the plane and I just kept wanting to call
"Group!!! Attention!.......File from the left column left......"

ya know....cant stand the disorganization and th cluster F**ks & gaggle f**ks of people...no order urrrrrghjfkgdfjgdfhjghkjhjg

United States Marine Corps Reserves 6+ years. I'm currently in the IRR. I got out as a Corporal. I served with three different reserve units during my active reserve time. I deployed to Iraq in March 2006 with 1st Battalion / 14th Marines HQ Company out of Alameda, CA. My MOS is 0621 Field Radio Operator. I will eventually post some pics on this thread. Semper Fi

To all our veterans and those currently serving:

You have done a job that I know I could not easily do, and at immense personal risk to yourselves.

Thank you.

I was in the national guard for like 8 months, got a medical discharge because I lied about being on medication when I enlisted. I used to take anti-anxiety and depression medication, and I enlisted at 17, I think my mom changed her mind about letting me enlist so she made me go to the doctor and got put back on and they found out.

thinking back on it though, Im almost glad I got the boot, I ended up signing up for way longer than I wanted to, and 11b proably wasnt the smartest MOS.

Made e3 though :p

Ive been debating joining the air force and doing some mechanics stuff, since theres no jobs around here, but Im not sure yet, I just got my diploma a few weeks ago so I have yet to go talk to a recruiter.
