How to Loop your Power Steering rack to make it a Manual Rack
I heard some talk of this and i knew of this build thread that had this in it on honda-tech so enjoy write up....
-looped the power steering rack to make it manual -started taking apart my usdm sub-frame Alright so to make my power steering rack a manual one (not sure if this is the same for usdm racks) I brought my rack to napa and had them find the right fittings. The fittings are actually standard not metric according to the guys at napa, and they fit nice and snug with no leaks. after the fittings were screwed in tightly using a 5/8th wrench and a 9/16th wrench (fittings are different sizes) i took the hose which originally was used on my front clip to loop my power steering near the front of the car where the a/c radiator would be. This piece of hose loops around perfectly to loop these two holes, i just had to cut a little bit. The part numbers for the two fittings at napa are: 05706B-104 and 05706B-1570. They are called "hose end" and one is $4.22 and the other is $5.46.
