tach jumping
hey, my tachs are both jumping. the engine is fine, and running normally but my tachs will jump insanly high and back down, both of them arent going at the same time tho. after driving it a bit, both needless just died, but would re-awaken if i pressed a little harder on the gas.
my question is - is it a bad ground? or is a wire somewhere messing up.
ill post a video in a bit

i typed whale penis on ebay and nothing showed up..

That's what i would suspect. Another thing to check would be an interference of some kind. Spark plug wires?

NA is fine but, i'd rather be blown!

RE: tach jumping
my bro wired it.. so i have to go adventuring to find the stupid ground. but, i really don't think thats the problem mainly because BOTH tachs are jumping. the stock one is only split in one spot, and i think maybe the wires ripped because its warm out now, so things got tight and stretched while i was making a U turn, while burning a little tread. . which was when it went freakizod.
on a side note, i got my emissions certificate today. for some reason i never received the first one, so if i dont get my car tested by the 26th ill have a suspended license!

RE: tach jumping
My car was doin the same thing. The alternator was not charging my battery completely, so it would give out once the battery died completely. and the tach would suddenly jump. You should get the alternator tested, and see if its recharging the battery.
