Exclamation  Swap a D16Y8 into my Hx Need Help

Ok so heres my problem. I have a 96 HX and I recently did a D16Y8 swap. Everything works but the only minor problem is that when I use the Y8 ECU its pops out 2 or 3 Check Engine Light. And with the Hx ECU all the engine light dies. I was told that I need to run a 96-98 EX engine harness...is there an alternative route?...Please Help. Need to pass smog asap.

sounds like simple wiring problem, like turbo-2nr said find out the codes
