RE: sohc-t vs swap
ive got an LS longblock i got for really cheap, but most likely gonna turn it arond and make a bit of money off it. i read somewhere that the 75mm vitaras are a bit smaller and move around or something. but that seems to be the one that everyone is running mostly? should i run the 75.5mm? and ive also read that the vitara's sit a bit lower, about 2-3mm compared to stock pistons...is that suppose to be?

RE: sohc-t vs swap
also i heard that some block gaurds restrict the flow of coolant, and could potentially cause overheating problems to your engine. but is it also necessary for daily driving no more then 320whp??? anyone have feedback on any of these things?

old thread but whatever I'm bored
Dude daily driving 320 whp is way more then you can imagine.
Torque steer is ridiculous
Not to mention forget driving safely in the rain.
Build the D for reliability
You can boost reliably if you do it right
I make 230 and its my DD
Don't forget new clutch to hold that power.
And arp rod bolts

RE: sohc-t vs swap
well i know that im not planning to make 320 at the wheels, but thats just what the guys that ive talked to have said. if your gonna go for 300+ either DD or at the track make sure you get a block gaurd, but others say its not needed you can make up to 400 without one, and a block gaurd just causes overheating problems. i know its completely different but ive driven a 300+ whp mk3 supra for about a week while my cousin was out of town. that = shitty to drive in washington! haha

RE: sohc-t vs swap
well, i love my b20 vtec swap, i have beaten i lot of d16 and d17 turbo, btw i have a challenge for this weekend from a guy with a d17 turbo set up, the think is a swap b20 all motor set up always ull have a lot of torque and thats all u need on 1/4 mille, those hp that u get with turbo is just if u run in hightway
another think is a B16 or B18 turbo set up is another world, im think to get a b18 end and turbo set up with it with me b16 vtec head
I love my EJ8

RE: sohc-t vs swap
I too was thinking of swapping or turbo d. Problem is, I autox so either of those will bump me up a class or two. I would be competing with my brother and two other friends becuase of their swapped cars though. I've always wanted a B16B, but it'll be about 4k shipped from hmotorsonline.
I also have fog lights so I don't want to get rid of those and I don't want to have bumper fitment issues.
Whats the site address for FJT?

the b16b has slightly more hp and torque then the b16a
and a lot more money
IMO its more of a bling factor
turbo the b16a and have a blast

yea. i figured d16 turbo will make me alot more power, while only being a bit more expensive then a b16 swap. as for FJT's site. im not quite positive on that. its on turbod16.com. im buying most of my stuff from the classifieds on that site
