So we were kicking this idea around the shoutbox and everyone thought it would be a good idea. This is for cooks or bbqers to share recipes or secret ingredients. Also for you master chefs to help out us that arent that fortunate around a bbq or stove. Lets get it goin!!!!

RE: Official Recipie Thread.....
Oh I'm going to like this thread! I love to cook!!!
Here's my chocolate chip recipe for all you peeps with a sweet tooth 1 1/2 C. White Sugar 3/4 C. Brown Sugar 1 1/2 C. Crisco 3 Eggs 2 tsp. Vanilla 1 1/2 tsp. Baking Soda 1 1/2 tsp. Salt 3 C. Flour 1 pkg. Nestle Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips Cream the eggs, crisco, vanilla, and sugars together. Mix or sift the remaining dry ingredients in a seperate bowl and then add the creamed ingredients. Then add the chocolate chips after ingredients are almost completely mixed. Preheat the oven to 375. Place cookies on cookie sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes. If you want the cookies to be "perfect" cook them for only 8 minutes and let them cool, they WILL be delicious. RE: Official RecipeThread.....
I got a good one for a killer steak dinner, doesn't matter what kind of steak (I'm a fan of KC strips, top sirloin, or rib eyes.)
- Steaks - A1 Chicago Steakhouse marinade - Spicy Montreal Steak seasoning - a couple of different colored peppers (I like to get 1 orange or yellow pepper, and 1 green or red pepper) - package imitation crab meat - sweet onion or yellow onion - soy sauce - worchestershire sauce Using a fork, stab the steaks all over on both sides in order to really allow the marinade to sink in. Pour a healthy amount of marinade into a shallow glass pan, along with a couple tablespoons of worchestershire and soy sauce. Shake in some seasoning as well; then lay the steaks in the marinade. Give the steaks 30 seconds or so in order to get a little marination going, then flip. I like to do this early so the steaks can marinate most the day. Make sure to flip the steaks every once in a while throughout the day to allow both sides to soak in the marinade. Take the peppers and onion and slice into thin strips. Pour a good amount of soy and worchestershire sauce into a bowl, then dump the peppers, onion, and crab meat into the sauce. Allow it to sit for 30 minutes or so. Then fire up the grill and get the steaks a'cookin. While the steaks are on the grill, put the pepper/onion/crab mixture into a pan and cook on low/medium-low. You want the peppers to soften a little but not get mushy - so maybe 10 to 15 minutes. Turn the steaks every 5 to 10 minutes, checking them with a grill fork or prongs. PLEASE - don't overcook your steak! I will consider it an affront to steak-kind ![]() Put the steak on your plate, and using a serving spoon get yourself a nice mixture of pepper/onion/crab with juice and place it on top of the steak. I like to cut my steak up first so I can be lazy and just use my fork to spear a good mix of everything and eat it together (kabob style.) If you want to go all out - get some twice baked potatoes from the store...or make some yourself. If this meal doesn't make your mouth salivate while you eat it - you need to check yourself. ![]() jonazdc Wrote:congrats bro! must feel good, you got engaged and mounted your front lip in one week.EJ8-Squad|Mods:Yes, I am a grammar Nazi and I will hate on your inability to type like a normal person. 4 Doors FTW! |
