RE: Quest for boost...
I used to be able to do mine on my Y8 in about an hour. I did however do it like five times so I knew exactly what to do. I guess this could help speed things up. The most difficult part by far is probably just getting everything back the the way it should be just right ex: cam & ignition timing, TDC, valve lash & all the torque specs. Even if a shop were to do it, they should only charge a couple hundred max. It should only take an absolute max. of about two hours at whatever their shop rate is. If you're uncomfortable trying it, just buy a case of brew and a pizza for someone you know who can do it. Then you could watch them & learn as well. This is how we did it back in the day.

+1 ...lol
"back in the day"???? we still do this...lol
As far as how long it takes i agree it will get easier and easier each time but, it is very easy. I say no to a cometic HG, OEM all the way!

NA is fine but, i'd rather be blown!

RE: Quest for boost...
alright guys thanks for the help, I've seen so many debates on oem vs. cometic, everyone has their own opinion, but i think in the end ill go with the OEM. And it seems as though a case of beer and pizza can be payment for almost anything, its great
