opinion needed!! i dunno what to do O_o

Well for my interior, to cover up more of the trunk space im gettin a custom X bar made. I have the trunk bar installed right now (see pics)

Installed pics:

He's making a rear strut bar for me just waiting on the tower mounts to get plasma cut. After those are complete, the X bar will be done..

Now onto the question..

I have a 12" rockford fosgate subwoofer. In order for me to keep it, I'd have to somehow integrate it into the trunk piece. Should I get that done and have it sitting below the X bar or just sell it to get some more interior piece's? I got the sub because I wanted a lil umph but I dont mind not having it so either way I'll be satisfied.. I just want some opinions on what fellow members think.

Thanks in advance!
-Adam

I voted to diss it, but now I'm not sure. I'm still torn whether or not I want to do a sub in my car or not. I plan on autoxing my car often this summer and don't want to have to deal with taking the sub out and putting it in all the time, but on the other hand I love music and wouldn't mind a little umph every now and again.....

Loose the sub, it will clean up your interior even more.
Which I didn't think was possible at first but I think it will.
Just buy a super bomb component set of Boston Acoustics.
And call it a day haha.

A little bass is always good but loose it. As already stated, a bomb set of components tuned right will do ya more than good IMO.

Errr...well I'm one of the keepers. I've invested a quite a bit of time and research into building the perfect audio setup and it definitely makes the driving experience that much more enjoyable. Also the ladies love how "it massages their back." Wink

My hatchback doesn't have a sub though, it sounds so empty when I listen to music, it constantly bothers me Sad.

I did notice a dramatic loss in power once my car got the sub installed though, but I didn't care too much because once I'm turbo'd, I'd have the torque to lug that damn box around no problem. I just didn't build the coupe for autocross though, I made it into an enjoyable weekend cruiser with a bit of power that has ac, power steering, and a bomb sound system.
