So my car has been running fine for 3 years, then the day after i consider selling it BOOOMMM!!! it wont start to save its life, i get spark and fuel but no start, it tries but no start up, any ideas? I had just changed the oil, started it up and backed off the ramps and it sat overnight, then wake up the next day to go to work and it wont start, this is driving me crazy

check timeing and compression

timing was checked about a month ago at the dealership and they said it was fine, i'll check the compression and if that looks good then i'll double check the timing, thanx for the input

can you hear the fuel pump prime?

i believe so, i disconnected the fuel line from the fuel rail then tried to crank it and fuel was defiantly coming out of the fuel line so i guess thats a good sign for the fuel system

does it crank fast?
Did the timing belt break?

it seems to crank fine, came gear still spins, seen no signs of breaks, battery appears to be getting weaker but i guess thats to be expected if it isnt starting

you said it "tries to start"...is it flooded? Try starting it with the throttle fully open...
You also say that fuel comes out of the line but, what pressure?

i doubt it coulda been flooded the first time i went to crank it, but it could be now, and i dont have a pressure gauge so i dont know the pressure, i'll try the open throttle tomorrow but this kinda thing has never happened, kinda outa left field ya know

man good luck with this. sounds expensive
