oil pressure

So normally my car idles around 30 psi and cruises around 60 or 70
But lately it has been running rather low
around 12 at idle and 40ish on cruise
It also is running around 210 temp instead of the normal 180
I have normal amounts of oil
And water is good and the fan comes on
It has been warm lately but not that warm.
Maybe my wiring is going for my gauges?
Because the stock water temp gauge sits dead even once its warm.
I'm concerned and have no idea what to look at/for.

RE: oil pressure

my oil pressure is at 60 on cold start up but, then comes down to about 10-15 at idle. The pressure obviously rises once i'm driving depending on where my foot is =P
As far as the temp....are you still using the stock radiator?
If so it might be time for an upgrade. The wimpy 5/8" stock radiator can't sufficiently cool our turbo D's. Some people wire their fan's into a switch to run them constantly.

NA is fine but, i'd rather be blown!

on cold cold start its about 80
yes stock radiator and i was looking into them
with a low temp thermostat and a slim line fan?
but mostly it idles at 30 psi or it did for the longest time.
now why would it drop so low.
I did just start using synthetic though?
But it has also never run so warm and this is normal driving not high rpm boost pulls.

There ya go! ^^^^ I also forgot to mention that i use Royal Purple full synthetic oil. Synthetic will bring the pressure down.

I have a Mishimoto radiator and LOVE it!

RE: oil pressure

One of the local boys here in O-Town doing free shipping I think (at least the site says so but I think it's being reconstructed right now) Give 'em a call to find out the deal. The Mishimoto radiators are great little budget coolers for a budget price. Don't pay 250 EVER for this radiator though......Here's their site.....scroll down to the bottom, take a look 150 w/ free shipping. Give 'em a call.

RE: oil pressure

^^^that's where mine came from! A couple of little issues with them but, we worked it all out in the end. I ended up getting Samco hoses from them too.

RE: oil pressure

haha good thats the one i was looking at.
I was gonna either get it from panducky but the shipping is cheaper from hybrid =) free hahaha.
So I went to go buy it
and remembered I don't have my credit card.
Because of when they stole my money, I'm waiting for my new one.
Banghead
Well as soon as it comes in the mail I'm ordering it.
Probably the mishimoto i/c also
but in black
mine is way to small.
Turbo Sleeper ftw!
