RE: Oh, please help me.

Just to clarify.. when valves are loose, this can cause problems, and you would probably notice the louder 'ticking'. I'm talking about valves being too tight, which happens to some engines over time as well. You don't hear them, and it will cause much more problems than if they are loose.

RE: Oh, please help me.

I don't want anymore symptoms. I got the low idle after I replaced the TPS and I replaced the TPS thinking it would fix the bucking. That's it in a nut shell.

RE: Oh, please help me.

I'm assuming that when I had the valves adjusted that Donny Brooke (the place where I took it) knew what they were doing. Plus, that was about 2-3 years ago.

RE: Oh, please help me.

Only thing I don't get why did the bucking go away for a few weeks when I swapped out the IACV?

RE: Oh, please help me.

Everyone always says that Honda engines run forever. That's true for the most part. But nobody has ever said that Honda engines run WELL forever. The fact is, all of these engines develop these quirks and flaws over time. It's part of wear and tear. In order to fix it to run as if it were brand new, you'll probably end up spending an absurd amount of money to go on a witch hunt of replacing parts.

Sorry to be a pessimist, but as you can tell from your HT thread, there are sooo many combinations of issues it could be. It might be a simple/cheap fix, but you may have to try 10 different things to get the right one. Then it's not so simple/cheap anymore..

How many miles are on the car?

My advice? Do your basic maintenance, make sure it doesn't blow up, and keep saving your pennies for something nicer down the road. Nobody should have to deal with those sort of problems on their daily driver.

RE: Oh, please help me.

Ryan, you are correct when you said it could be many combinations causing the problem not just one. That's exactly how I feel right now. Especially when I have no CEL.

I'm saving pennies to get out of debt. Eliminating debt trumps the idea of a swap.

If anything I'm might learn something or two in the process of finding out what's going on.

As far as the how many miles, I don't have an exact number because I lost the piece of paper that had difference between the stock cluster and the Si one I put in. I would guess probably 115-120K.
