i shared a set i did a few months back on here and figured i'd upload this one for you guys.

i grabbed a few tunes from some local guys a few days ago (first legal mp3 downloads.. odd feeling ) after hearing them drop the songs live.

i wasnt too sure how the set was going to turn out, i did it all with crummy headphones and not the usual full system to hear the bass and whatnot. i also had a set tracklisting which is something i try to avoid.

surprisingly, it came out pretty good. there is one transition i kinda screwed up but nothing major. the last transition was thrown in there only to finish off the set a little smoother than the song playing wouldve done for me.

download it, and let me know what you all think. like i said though, this wasnt exactly how i do things for the most part hahaha

Unfortunately I know next to nothing about mixing and all that but I'm liking it.

I work with a kid who did the intro track to One Tree Hill's new season and three of Hillary Duffs new songs and some other stuff. His boss does A LOT for some major players. I can't remember what the company's name is though.

.....He's got me thinking that I might want to get into this. I mean hell.....I played guitar and the keys for about the first half of my life. I know music and how it's made....Plus I would love to get into all the technology and start seeing what happens. Working with my friend, I've had a chance to see his equipment and lurk around Pro Tools and I like what I see so far.

i would have loved to get into producing music but i just dont have that type of talent. maybe i do but the programs i've used never really let me do what i wanted. i've messed with a few and turned out some decent tunes but nothing great.

DJing was something i always wanted to do but never was able to save up the cash. i'll only do vinyl.. i wont settle for cds. unfortunately, i'm a bit passed the age to enter that scene. i do this for fun off my computer using simple tools.

if you have the opportunity to get to work with the equipment, go for it!

I'd love to get into the production side of things. I guess that appeals to me....even though I love getting up in front of people and having fun with them. I know what you mean about the age thing. I'm at the ripe old age of 30. I couldn't imagine being out done by some 13 year old who could walk all over me any day of the week with his skills. No matter how "hip" someone is.....I guess it would be just weird seeing some old guy up there.

As far as working with equipment....
My co worker/friend has it all......like 16 grand worth. Every once in a while, we screw around with it when I'm there at his house. I can't even begin to list everything he has. It's all he does. DJs and produces. His coworker (in the studio) I think is someone named Vega. I think he's done things for Lauren Hill, Rhianna, Franky and many more I can't think of.

My producing skills stops on "REASON" I love messing with it but don't have any real skills
