RE: MPG

Last week I got 27 mpg. I feel better though, if I get 30+ mph.

RE: MPG

Every now and then, I try my best to get good mileage. usually that means shifting at about 2500 rpm, accelerating slowly (hard to do when people are riding your ass) and coasting to stop signs and stop lights.

Round trip just under 60 miles a day, 80% highway miles.

The hours I travel I don't get too much traffic.

With only 4 miles round trip, personally I would consider getting a nice mountain bike for the spring, summer and the rainy days. Wouldn't two miles one way be considered "extreme driving conditions"?

that's why your mpg's suck , your car never has a chance to warm up fully . it's not necessarily a good thing to put little miles on .
