Looking for opinions...?

Well, I've been debating over getting regular amber sidemarkers, or smoked amber sidemarkers. I've tried looking at the pros and cons, but I still can't make up my mind. I know everyone has the regular amber set-up because they are the originals for the civic. However, I've yet to see any civic with smoked sidemarkers and seeing as how my civic isn't really "JDM" then maybe i'll be a bit more original and also pull it off. My only concern would be that they be way to dim at night, since they are pretty much blacked-out on the inside less light will reflect off the inside housing. The reason I am considering them really, is to set myself apart with small details. Am I being too picky, or am I making some kinda sense? Does anybody know if they're pretty much the same lit up at night, or is there a big difference between the two? I would like some opinions. Thanks.

Just to remind those who don't know. This is my baby.

IMHO I would go with neither, your car looks to have a "sleek" theme going on it and adding side markers would disrupt the flow, direction and color scheme of the car. I could see if you had amber corners on your headlights or tail lights but you have clear in the rear and black in the front...adding amber in the middle with no apparent scheme direction might look...like you just put them on there because you could.

If you could find some clear ones then those would probably work though.

If I see another n00b on this site with "EJ8" in their name, I'm gonna freak out. Originality FTW!

i say go with smoked.. yes your car looks good as hell without them, but they also look sick once they're on. to keep the "sleek" look goin and to kinda hide the sidemarkers while still making them noticeable.. the smoked would be the way to go IMO Thumbup

My vote went to smoked if you decide to get some. It'd look good with the way your car is sitting right now, IMO. Thumbup

I think either would look good, but by having another spot to compliment the same color so it doesn't throw it off. Having the fog lights same color would look nice.

I think it looks sik the way it is tho.

RE: Looking for opinions...?

Thanks for the compliments everyone. I've decided that I'm gonna hold off buying the sidemarkers only to give myself some time to make sure that I really want them and that they'll look good on the car, but at least now I know that smoked is the way to go. I was actually thinking of opening my headlights and maybe spraying up the corners "amber" to match the dark amber look of the sidemarkers. It's an idea...
