ok i bought my ej8 about 2 months ago and all of a sudden about 3 weeks after i bought it i began to overheat from time to time. I will lose the coolant in my resivior about every 2 days which gets air in my system ad causes me to over heat. i have found no external leaks no coolant in my oil no oil in my coolant, have used an exhaust gas detector and found no gases coming from my radiator which kinda rules out head gasket. so if anyone has anyother ideas please LMK

my buddies car was also havin the same problem, he had to replace his water pump and the problem was fixxed. It could be your water pump not cycling.

It's a headgasket....our engines are known for them

It's the head gasket, I too have the same problem,I've been too busy to replace the head gasket even though I have a brand new one in my garage.
