GSR running 17s? wtf?
a Vuddy of mine has a GSR swap in his 95 civic..but for some reason running 17s. he is in 3rd gear at the end of the 1/4 and doing bout 83 mph. could it be the tranny is made for top end or a LS tranny?

Not getting traction? Can't drive? Engine is fuxored? Hard to diagnose the problem without a timeslip.
I don't understand the last part of your post, but if you're saying he has an LS tranny, then yea, that could be a problem too.

RE: GSR running 17s? wtf?
My car with minor bolt ons ran a low 15...and i believe a 99 Civic is heavier than a 95. I would check the tranny....because i ran a 17 flat after i spun all 1st and 2nd and shifted way to early into 3rd...bogged to about 3500 rpms. It could be alot of different things

RE: GSR running 17s? wtf?
im not trying to be mean haha im really not... but i dont think theres "something wrong" with his motor.... i think i'd be able to tell if my b18c1 felt slower than a d16, or if it was bogging... i really believe its just the driver... and the transmission question.... even with longer gears, i dont think it would cause a whole second and a half in the 1/4 mile, do you? or maybe im wrong

RE: GSR running 17s? wtf?
well, maybe it is the driver..who knows. ive riden in that car and the top end is outrageous. you can get to 130 mph no problem. is there a certain method of launching?
