fastline performance shifter
http://www.fastlineperformance.com/shifter.htm
well, to night i changed out my right side axle and axle seal... i tried to get the left side as well but i couldn't get the axle out of the balance shaft (b-series thing)... i was about to call it quites but i was talked into doing the shifter as well, am i glad i did...
let me first say it was a bitch to do because of the size... the exhaust was in the way and there wasn't much room for my fat belly under the car...lol
it took me prolly an hour and a half to get it done... at first the size of it is kind of a shock, but once you take it for a spin your like, holly shit, this really grabs the gears and it is extremely comfortable, you don't have the "mad tyte jdm lean anymore" but it's all good... it puts you in a better, more comfortable position in the seat... i also installed a hardrace bushing kit for the shifter, that also made a big difference...
I'm going to go drive my car around town for a while tonight, gonna hit the las Vegas strip and also some corners i know about... I'll give a report as to how that went in the morning...
so far, i absolutely love the shifter... fastline has indeed made a quality product that i will personally back...
here are a few pic's...
the blue thing is a part of the hardrace bushing kit and so is the black rubber piece just above the thick part of the shifter... the shifter comes in two pieces... this is good because you can twist the upper part to were it is comfortable for you... BTW, the shift knob is off my old shifter...

brand new sexy half shats from meyer's... $90 each/$15 core

damn it's tall...

this is pic of my really, really bright blue led's i have for a doom light... there f-in bright... you may have noticed a blue glare in a couple of the pics...
i have one in the trunk for my light also... there a lil on the ricey side, but i love them...

How close is your hand to the climate control when in the 1-3-5 gears?

RE: fastline performance shifter
Reminds me of an 18-wheeler shifter. I does look like it would be comfortable though.

RE: fastline performance shifter
I had an '83 CJ7 Jeep with a shifter shorter than that.

function over form i guess, a little too much for me, but if it works it works, and definatly orginal
