Dumb question

I know this may sound a bit wierd, but what is your method of launching on the 1/4?
i have a prob with my reaction..i gues im not launching when other people seem to. then im not sure what RPM range i should be at to launch. anyone got some advice or knowledge theyd like to share?

watch the tree as your waitin in the line...

i usually get it down to where it starts countin down, his the red light and go cuz by the time you move the lights green..

but like i said, you gotta get to know the lights to get a good reaction time

Not sure...I've never been to the drag strip. i usually launch between 3-4k at the autox events though. :U

I guess I will launch at 4K since that is where the launch control is set at when I finally get to the drag strip

3500 - 4k is like perfect...i dont have the launch control but my friend has the Hondata S200 with the 2- step...1st step, the rev limiter at idle is set to 4 grand..so it just bounches there and wont go any further(if you didnt know what 2 step is lol)2nd step after launch i think he has it set between 6500 and 7k...and he always catches good on the pavement

i got the best times on a sportsman tree when i launched on the second yellow if i remember right it's been 4 years

ive launched on the second yellow and i got a foul for taking off too early.
ill try to keep my rpms at 3-4k..thanks guys

gotta remember, the track is also stickier than the autoX course or the streets..
