Converted my interior lighting to SI status

I've read long ago that people tried to change they're bulbs in they're climate control by painting them an amber like color as well as they're bulbs in they're cluster. I decided not to risk that since my friend tried it on his and after so much trial and errors it wasn't worth it having pink in the end. So I looked on eBay, and bought a matching mileage CR-V cluster and bought a SI radio locally off someone. As for the climate control lighting. I decided to go to Honda and order a set of bulbs (4) which came to a total of $40 in spending. Cluster = $30 Bulbs = $20 SI Radio = $40 (I sold my old parts on eBay to make some money back which is why i spent $40 instead of $90). Anyways the results speak for themselves. Smile

i would recommend people trying this method than spraying your stock bulbs.

Looks real nice, I still wish the Civic had lit up gauge needles though. Sad

I thought about painting them but I thought the same about just buying the bulbs

its the type of paint that really matters the most. when i did mine. i used tamiya transparent orange model paint. the people that use that competion orange spray paint that i've seen in numerous write-ups, never come out with good results. i actually have had decent results using just an orange sharpie marker too.
