RE: complete GSR swap
mk... well im keeping it now...
i was going to trade it for my buddies OEM built 210whp gsr but after i look at it and talkin with brad.. the only thing he had on my setup is the cams/valvetrain but then i gotta port/polish on his setup.. so if i just slap some cams in there ill be good to go.
the other option was sellin my motor and gettin a friends fully built gsr pushin 229whp (n/a) off the bottle and 309whp on the bottle. granite its frikin quick as hell, he beats on it a lot so i passed on that one.

RE: complete GSR swap
So your GSR is not for sale now? Are you still going to keep this thread open just in case you get an offer you can't refuse?

RE: complete GSR swap
You IMO made a good practical decision bro. Why go through the trouble with swapping in a motor that's barely better than yours and you have no clue how good it will be once in your ride. Yours is already in and you know you only have to do a couple more things to make her scream.
Simply doing cams, valvetrain & another awesome tune will put you over his setup easy. (if that's what you're lookin' for) Think about it.....you're ported and polished and higher compression over his motor. Simple enough.
I think....getting that sucker to breath more is all you need. You have a bomb intake, intake manifold, high compression, ported & polished head, etc........and stock cams. IMO....they're good but with your setup, different cams would open that sucker up. That.....an awesome tune.....and get rid of that header (collector) and you'll be alright.
