cool, like a chat room type thing?

Has anyone used this yet? If so should we keep it?

i've tried it, but my computer freezes after i sign in, happens everytime, prolly just me though

I always forget about it since it's only on the main index and it's at the very bottom. But I really like the "forum overview" that pops up at the top of the page, so I don't think the chat would work very well there. IMO if people aren't using it then it's just slowing down the load times for the main forum index and not much else.

Another thing to consider.. most forums use a built in chat like that to alleviate some of the random off topic conversations that might clutter up the forum. However, with a growing site like this, I think that the more topics there are, the better. Even if some of them are a little pointless and off topic.. that's what the off topic forum is for
