sooo might be able to get an Si, but the lady has been running 87 octane in it. so now it rattles, im guessing valves. its not the normal honda chatter tho. should this be a major concern, because right now it is haha.

It may just need a valve adjustment. Is she the original owner and has she been running 87 since she owned it?

That would be my vote as well, given the car has been adequately maintained over the years

she has driven it for around 8 months (10k miles) the owner before hand ran 93. valve adjustment and im good? its one of the cleanest Si's i've seen

sounds to me like valves but its kinda hard to tell ya without hearing it.. so many noises but the main one everyone hears on the B series is the valves so that's my guess..

do worry about the fact that she ran 87 if its a stock b16 it really dont make a diffrance for daily driving once i went to a gas station that was all out of 93 and i had to run the 87 the only change i seen/felt was worse gas milage

if it's an SI (assuming 99-00 that your talking about here) It'd be a b16a2. I know with the older first gen b16's the LMA would tick alot. I don't think there is suck a motor as a b16a1? but someone correct me if i'm wrong and what did it come in?
