RE: Axles questions
Can't go wrong with the 500hp axles.
lol
So what are the price differences here? I doubt you will be doing 400whp. So unless the prices are very close then I would get the 400hp ones

x2, you don't want to exhaust your wallet to have the highest HP axles you can get.

RE: Axles questions
I guess I'll be the one to say to get some 60 dollar Auto Zone axles.
- Lifetime warranty.
- $60.00 = cheap.
- 500 hp turbo cars are running them w/ slicks and still not snapping them.
- Have a friend at an Auto Zone = free replacements for life. LoL
- For good insurance....just buy a third and take it to the track w/ you so if you snap one, you can pop the broken one out and put in the new one right there in the parking lot. With practice, this only take about 15 minutes to do w/ a few specific basic hand tools.
If you want to go aftermarket, get some Gator axles. (just as good as DSS but cheaper)......or fork over the cash and get yourself some Drive Shaft Shops.
As everyone has said, just get the axles that are rated to handle your power output.

RE: Axles questions
well stronger axles actually would make ur tranny the weak point which could cause snapping ur diff...cracked tranny casing...blown tranny etc...it all depends on how much torque u would be making if going turbo id rather snap an axle thn messing up the tranny if u were to go NA thn u wouldnt have to worry bout breaking the tranny bcuz ur torque output wouldnt be anywhere near the amount of torque u would have boosted...id go with the autozone axles i see turbo cars snap thm all the time at the track but seeing a car blow the tranny is like 10000X worse

RE: Axles questions
^^^
Couldn't agree more. Broken axle WAY WAY WAY better than a broken tranny.
Plus they're cheap. Just buy 3. Put two in. Snap one at the track. Install the extra replacement you bought. Take the broken one back to Auto Zone and get a new one to use as your next replacement. Easy as that.
I see turbo cars breaking them a bunch but I also see 500hp+ cars running them completely flawless and successfully for seasons. It all pretty much depends on how you launch and other small factors like track condition, tire type, amount of wheel hop, etc.

No prob bro. Well I think they're like 60. Last time I checked, B series ones for my car were like 59.99. I don't know how much more or less Accord ones would be though.
